So I finally got around to reading my magazine, and this article caught my attention: "help me save her from Death Row". I was curious, so I read on. A 17-year-old Iranian girl named Nazanin Fatehi stabbed and killed one of the three men who attempted to rape her and her 16-year-old niece. She had been sentenced to death, because, according to Iranian law, one man's life is worth twice as much as a woman's life. Because she defended herself, she was to be killed. Because this case gained international attention, however, there is going to be a retrial. The retrial is set for January 10.
